Mars and Venus - class of 2015-16

We have all settled well into our new classrooms and have worked hard to learn and remember our new routines as we get to grips with life as a year 4 pupil at Upland.

Our topic for this half term is "All around the world " which will help us to learn about the different continents, countries, capital cities as well as hopefully, inspiring us to want to visit and explore some of these places in the future like these two intrepid back packers.

Watch their trip to visit 60 countries over a 3 year period:

To help celebrate the start of the rugby world cup which "kicks off" next week, we learned to perform the Haka in our PE lesson- traditionally a Maori ceremonial war dance involving chanting. An imitation of this is performed by the New Zealand rugby teams before a match to try and intimidate their opponents. We even got to stick our tongues out!!!

If you want to practise the moves again, watch this clip.
